Spring 2020 Watershed Stewardship Grants

The Urban Watershed Stewardship Grant Program is holding a Spring 2020 Grant Cycle. Please be advised that only Urban Watershed Stewardship Grants will be offered in this special cycle -- no applications for new Community Challenge or Eastern Neighborhoods Area projects will be accepted until the standard 2020 Cycle opens this fall.

Enhancing Vibrancy in San Francisco's Neighborhoods

Since 1991, the Community Challenge Grant/Neighborhood Beautification Fund of the City and County of San Francisco has partnered with hundreds of community organizations to support community-led neighborhood improvements.

The program provides public funding for community-led transformation efforts that enhance beauty, facilitate community participation and stewardship, and strengthen neighborhoods.

ESTABLISHED BY VOTERS
A division of the City Administrator’s Office, the Community Challenge Grant Program (CCG), formerly known as the Neighborhood Beautification and Graffiti Clean-Up Fund, was founded in 1991 by voter initiative. The program is funded by voluntary taxpayer elections.

ACTIVATING COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP FOR BEAUTIFICATION
​The CCG focuses on projects that directly engage residents and businesses in creating green spaces, gathering places, gardens, mini-parks, public art, and other neighborhood amenities.

NURTURING NEIGHBORHOODS
​
The CCG provides both financial and techncial resources to community groups, businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations to make physical improvements to their neighborhoods and communities for the benefit of all.
